Water filters have become simpler to install and more convenient to maintain. Our tests of various filters--everything from carafes to systems for the entire house--found models suitable for removing many common contaminants. What's at stake might be more than just good taste.

A flood of new filters Cartridges---can make removing impurities from your drinking water almost as easy as turning on the tap. Our models that connect to the plumbing are now easier to install. And we send by US Mail a postcard to inform you when it is time for replacement filter cartridges.

Dangerous contaminants such as lead, chloroform, arsenic, nitrate, nitrite, radon, and E. coli bacteria are common in tap water. Bottled water, often advertised as a "pure" and "natural" alternative to tap water, is generally safe. But it's actually less regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency than municipal water supplies. Indeed, some bottled water is simply filtered tap water. Fortunately,

tests of water filters our models suitable for removing many such contaminants.

This system is easy to install, very easy to use, never wastes water. The water goes through three replaceable filters, quick and simple to change, inexpensive to operate and gives great drinking water.

A new study in the Journal of the American Dental Association finds once again that, contrary to what most people have been told, fluoride is actually bad for teeth.

Exposure to high levels of fluoride results in a condition known as fluorosis, in which tooth enamel becomes discolored. The condition can eventually lead to badly damaged teeth. The new study found that fluoride intake during a child's first few years of life is significantly associated with fluorosis, and warned against using fluoridated water in infant formula.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is of a similar opinion. According to their website:

"Recent evidence suggests that mixing powdered or liquid infant formula concentrate with fluoridated water on a regular basis may increase the chance of a child developing ... enamel fluorosis."

Unlike a RO system, with this unit you have all of the drinking and cooking water you want.

This system has the 3 best filters available!!!
  • NO BIG TANK UNDER THE SINK!!!
  • Triple countertop filter

Gives you the same great water as you would have from our undercounter filter system without wasting a drop of water.

WHAT A SYSTEM! The #1 countertop filter system you can have.

    Filters Chlorine

.Chlorine is the most concentrated and competitive chemical in tap water KDF media supplement or replace existing technologies to dramatically extend system life, reduce heavy metals, microorganisms, scale, lower total cost, and decrease maintenance.

    Green Filtration

Patented KDF process media are 100 percent recyclable and contain no chemical additives. Hospitals, restaurants, municipal water treatment facilities, and homes rely on KDF process media to safely reduce or remove chlorine, iron, hydrogen sulfide, heavy metals, and bacteria from their water.

KDF media is generally used in place of, or in conjunction with, granular activated carbon filters, even carbon block or inline filters. KDF water treatment filter media extendsthe life of granular activated carbon (GAC) while protecting the carbon bed against fouling by bacterial growth.

We can explain redox like this: KDF Fluid Treatment's unique combination of copper and zinc creates an electro-chemical reaction. During this reaction, electrons are transferred between molecules, and new elements are created.

Some harmful contaminants are changed into harmless components. Free chlorine, for instance, is changed into benign, water-soluble chloride, which is then carried harmlessly through the water supply. Similarly, some heavy metals such as copper, lead, mercury and others, react to plate out onto the medium's surface, thus being effectively removed from the water supply.

    Cartridge C

Coconut carbon or if upgraded would be a four layer 10" cartridge to remove radioactive material from your drinking water. Have safe worry free water.

  • California Proposes Tough Perchlorate Drinking Water Standard
    September 5, 2006

  • California’s proposed drinking water standard for perchlorate is a strong rebuke to the U.S. EPA's dangerously high cleanup standard. It is also in response to the failure to set a national drinking water standard for the rocket fuel chemical that contaminates drinking water supplies in 40 states, according to Environmental Working Group (EWG).

California health officials proposed a maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 6 ppb for perchlorate in drinking water. A public comment period ends Nov. 3.

Last month, Massachusetts adopted a drinking water standard and waste-site cleanup standard of 2 ppb. The EPA's cleanup standard is 24 ppb. Federal action on drinking water standards has been stalled due to opposition from the Pentagon, which is responsible for most of the contamination from military bases and defense contractors.

EPA's own Children's Health Protection Advisory Committee has criticized the agency for assuming that people are only exposed to perchlorate through drinking water, when in fact tests by EWG, academic scientists and federal researchers have found perchlorate in milk, lettuce and other foods.

"The most significant thing here is not the difference between Massachusetts and California, but that two states that are leaders in public health have affirmed that perchlorate in drinking water should be limited to the low parts per billion to account for perchlorate exposure through food and water," said Renee Sharp, an EWG senior scientist who has studied the rocket fuel chemical since 2000. "To protect children, pregnant or nursing mothers and other sensitive populations, EPA should act promptly to set a similar national standard."

  • INSTALLATION
  • You can easily install a water filter under your sink to clean the water before it leaves a special water faucet. These under sink water filters check for a large variety of harmful contaminates found in tap water, making the under sink water filters better at purifying the water than the pitcher or countertop filters.
  • Instructions
  • Difficulty: Moderate
  • Steps
  • Step One: Locate the position where you want your new filter faucet. You can use an existing hole for a sprayer or drill your own. Allow adequate room for the spout to extend over the sink.
  • Step Two: Install the filter faucet according to your filter's directions.
  • Step Three: Mount the filter unit under the sink by following the product's specific instructions. Make sure you mount the filter close enough to allow the tubes from the faucet to connect to the filter without side pressure.
  • Step Four: Turn off your cold water supply valve found under your sink. Attach the "T" valve fitting to the cold water line.
  • Step Five: Purchase a "T" adapter or saddle valve if your cold water line doesn't allow for "T" fittings, unless otherwise stated in your product's instructions.
  • Step Six: Check for leaks by turning your water back on. If you find leaks, turn the water off and check all your connections.
  • Step Seven: Allow the water to run out of the faucet until it is no longer cloudy or has air bubbles.
  • Step Eight: Drink and enjoy your freshly filtered water.
